Liz Purchase has been a driver trainer for over 20 years, and five of them have been happily training school staff members for Castle Driver Training. Liz looks after our schools mainly in the South West region and trains candidates to drive a category D1 minibus safely and confidently, and we are proud to say that her pass rate is one of the company’s highest, no doubt attributing Castle’s current 86% pass rate to some of Liz’s candidates.
Liz is not only very successful for us, but she is well known for her calm and sensitive approach to driving students:
“Liz is excellent – very patient with her students and a good calming presence with what can be very frustrating if like me you took your original test 20 years ago. Thanks for all your help, support and flexibility in working round my other commitments.” Lead practitioner for Mathematics, Torquay Academy
Liz’s experience with teaching driver theory, coupled with her extensive qualifications, made her the perfect choice to head up the brand-new Minibus Compliance Course (MCC), launching in the coming months, focussing on supporting Bursars, School Business Managers, school CEOs, Senior Managers and all members of staff involved in the management of the school minibus and administration thereof. More on that to come… Back to Liz…
Castle Driver Training has a pass rate twice that of the national average, and to achieve this, and keep it high, we appreciate highly qualified professional trainers, like Liz. Being a modest person, Liz is not the first to talk about her 20+ certifications, but we would like you to know that she has DIAmond Advanced training, IAM Advanced training, a RoSPA BTECT Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction and a Gold Advanced Motorist award (also from RoSPA) under her belt, alongside being a member of the Association of Road Safety officers and a member of the Institute of Master Tutors of Drivers, to name but a few.
Despite all these qualifications, Liz recently said it’s the students’ success that gives her most satisfaction: “I take pride in my work and have dedicated a lot of time and effort to educating myself in order to pass on my skills to others. I still get the same rewarding buzz when one of my candidates passes their D1 test as I did all those years ago when I started out; a candidate’s success is job satisfaction for me!”
It really is a pleasure to have Liz with us at Castle Driver Training, and we are very much looking forward to 2018, with her support and input. As you can imagine, slots fill up quickly for Liz’s tuition, so if you’d like to book minibus training with our (arguably) best driving instructor, call today on 01869 253744 and check availability.
