Following the announcement in 2018 that Ford Motor had ceased production of minibuses to concentrate on the manufacture of their new 2019 minibus there was a significant shortage of high quality, built-for-purpose minibuses. Ford is the most popular built-for-purpose vehicle in the market.
However, at the recent Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham on the 29th and 30th of April, Ford revealed their new ‘Trend’ minibus to the education and commercial sector, and Castle Minibus was there to see it and place our order.
Castle’s MD, Chris Maynard is pictured above shaking hands with Mike Duncombe, Contract Leasing and Hire Manager for Ford Motor, following an agreement to add the brand new Ford Trend minibuses to our leasing options for schools.
The new Ford Trend minibus includes a whole host of new technologies and smart systems to keep the vehicle, it’s drivers and passengers safe including;
- Front & rear air conditioning
- Cruise Control
- Front & rear parking sensors
- Ford sync 8” touch screen with emergency assistance
- Power heated folding mirrors
- Privacy glass
- Reclining rear seats with armrest
- Luggage racks
Castle believes built-for-purpose minibuses are the safest way to transport school students and drivers and welcomes the new model to their fleet for schools, especially with the new engine technology that improves the carbon footprint by improved performance.
Ford says on their website, ‘Featuring a range of advanced 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the New Transit Minibus is more powerful and more efficient than ever.’
Leasing customers of Castle enjoy a superior service from two to five-year contracts that can include;
- MOT collect and return service
- Onsite 10-week safety inspections
- School livery and logo
- Low deposit and minimal cash outlay
- All servicing, maintenance and tyres
- Road fund licence and specialist breakdown cover
‘The anticipation for the new model minibus has been palpable, since we announced a shortage of Fords back in autumn last year. We’re proud to be able to offer this newest model to our schools and believe the safety standards have only improved with the latest update, which is one of the reasons we have added these vehicles to our fleet.’
