The Ford Transit Minibus is Britain’s most popular minibus and it is easy to see why. Each one is built with comfort and safety in mind and their 11/12 seat, 14/15 seat and 17/18 seat models are all equipped with (but not limited to) safety features such as driver alerts, courtesy lights, lane-keeping alerts, curvature control, electronic stability control and are compliant with the expected emissions standards of Euro VI, currently under scrutiny and due to be rolled out in early 2019.
Although there is no official source, our discussions with Ford indicate that the company have stopped production of their minibuses until the release of their newest Ford Transit Trend model. The new model is expected to be launched in the second half of 2019, but with no date yet confirmed. In the meanwhile, we anticipate a shortage of Ford minibuses as no new vehicles will hit Britain’s roads until (at least) the middle of next year.
Whilst we look forward to what Ford add to their newest model, we are aware that this shortage can affect schools and organisations that require a minibus when it is in such high demand.
